    In a generation where race is playing less of a definitive role in the way people are treated and society is becoming more diverse, Obama throws his own two cents on the matter from the perspective of his childhood. Reminiscing of things such as living in Asia, growing up as a fatherless minority,going through college, and his emotional journey back to his fathers homeland of Kenya all while incorporating his transition to the man he is today. An amazing read for all who ponder as to just who the President of the United States is.

    A good read and tearful in parts. Obama opens his scars, asks questions and reveals an emotional journey into his African ancestery and what it means 'to belong and what can we do?'. Written before he became a president it shows a man with dreams and a vision to change things. Inspirational

    Barak Obama is quite impressive In his ability to describe his thoughts and emotions! I have discovered deep reflexion on his self, and a real gift as a writer. I did enjoyed the book and feel I know better the man who now runs the USA.
