    Richard Morgan has a fantastic imagination that has created a very stimulating read. This book has an intriguing plot and great action, involving people dealing with their lives that are made complicated by technology. When I occasionally put the book down, I found myself talking with my wife about the concepts within it. A fantastic read. Highly recommended!

    What an amazing novel. I read this with a growing realisation that the author is pushing the genre envelope, not trotting out hackneyed pulp. The language he uses fires the imagination without jarring, the storyline is exciting and the characterisation detailed, but not detracting. Highly recommended!

    Think Battlestar Galactica meets Blade Runner and then some. This first book in the Takeshi Kovacs trilogy of books by Richard Morgan is absolutely brilliant as are the second and third. I am genuinely upset that there aren't more books on the Kovacs character. Extremely recommended!
