  • Good but…. too many buts

    It was always going to be cathartic. The chance (finally) to read another chapter of Jake’s life. And it is good but its not Grisham good. More like putting on comfortable shoes as opposed to the whole outfit. On the one hand its a credit to one of the greats; to criticise this book when it is actually quite good but while it is good and it satisfies, there are better Grishams and I think even he will agree, he has done better. That being said, a 3 star Grisham is a 5 star for 99% of the rest. So…. read it; enjoy it and try some more.

    I love John Grisham novels, they tend to grip you from page one. This was no exception. I still wasn't sure how it would end, until the last chapter. Totally enjoyable- would highly recommend. A. Fan.
